BITES Best Ph.D. Thesis Awards for the Year 2018: Announcement

The BITES Best PhD Thesis Evaluation Committee, under the chairmanship of Prof. S.S. Prabhu, has announced the following awards for the year 2018:

 

1. BITES Best PhD Thesis Award for the Year 2018 in Computer Science and Engineering will be conferred on
450-Sumith_1.jpgDr. Sumith N., from Alva's Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodubidire, for her thesis on “IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYSIS OF INFLUENCE IN SOCIAL NETWORKS: USER CENTRIC APPROACH”, pursued under National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, under the supervision of Prof. Swapan Bhattacharya and Dr. Annappa B., National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, Surathkal

 

2. BITES Best PhD Thesis Award for the Year 2018 in Electronics and Communication Engineering will be conferred on
mallik.pngDr. Mallikarjun B. Channappagoudar, from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, for his thesis on “An Efficient Network Management System using Agents for MANETs”, pursued under IISc, Bengaluru, under the supervision of Prof. Pallapa Venkataram, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

 

3. "Special Mention of the Jury" for the Year 2018 in Computer Science and Engineering will be awarded to
Meenakshi Malhotra_0.jpgDr Meenakshi Malhotra, from Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru for her thesis on “A Neurocognitive Knowledge Network Model for Knowledge Embedding and Retrieval”, pursued under VTU, under the supervision of Dr T R Gopalakrishnan Nair, RajaRajeswari College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

 

4. "Special Mention of the Jury" for the Year 2018 in Electronics and Communication Engineering will be awarded to
asha_0_0.jpegDr. Asha C S, from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, for her thesis on “Object Tracking in Infrared and RGB Imagery”, pursued under National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, Surathkal, under the supervision of Dr. A V Narasimhadhan, National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, Surathkal.
