Jyothy Institute of Technology an engineering institution abbreviated as JIT, is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. JIT was established in the year 2011 under the leadership of Karnataka Rajyothsava Awardee Dr. B.N.V Subrahmanya, a visionary par excellence with a vision to nurture global leaders in the engineering domain. Since inception JIT has grown to be one of the reputed technical institutions in the city of Bengaluru. Located in Thataguni, (12°50′38.21″N 77°30′42.43″E) off Kanakapur road (NH 948( Previously 209)), near Art of Living, Jyothy institute of Technology is built on a 12 acre campus and has all the infrastructure desired in a modern technical institution of excellence. JIT is on the path of progress through addition of new infrastructure and adoption of ISO practices.

• Mechanical Engineering
• Computer Science Engineering
• Information Science Engineering and
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
PG programs in:
Food Technology, Computer Science and Engineering and Product Design and Manufacture
Four of the above UG programmes have been accredited by the National Board of accreditation. JIT is the youngest institution to get accreditation with only three batches having passed out. The institution participated in the NIRF ranking, ARIIA ranking, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, select nodal centre for Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan and member of Institution innovation council, AICTE.
JIT has 35 doctorates serving the institution in both Science and Engineering. Apart from academics, JIT supports students with funding to participate in overseas technical competitions such as SAE Aero, Eco-cart and so on. Students are also encouraged to compete in Sports and cultural activities. JIT offers good placement support, patent services to both students and staff, overseas education support, foreign language support, incubation seed fund support, paid internships and overseas education support.
JIT has an on-campus exquisite multidisciplinary research centre “Centre for Incubation, Innovation, Research and Consultancy” (CIIRCR) which is a joint initiative between Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri and Jyothy Institute of Technology. It houses various laboratories across different domains and hosts many eminent scientists. The centre has spread its wings across the globe through Academic, Industrial & overseas collaborations. The Centre has ongoing live projects funded by DRDO, DST, DAE, DOS, VGST, DBT, MOES etc worth 10 crores. With the credentials of several publications in reputed Scopus indexed journals JIT bagged the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) through Niti Aayog. With the funding already available, 6 companies have been incubated in the domains of Food Technology, Sensors & Devices and materials apart from 8 companies incubated under the umbrella of CIIRC. There are nearly 25 products to be launched into the market. Scientists of the centre have many patents to their credit and have bagged many consultancy projects. The scientists have won many fellowships and awards by reputed national and international institutions. Twelve of the CIIRC labs are recognized R & D centres by VTU. Students are provided with internships at the center itself and are benefited by those erudite to start and follow their passion in science, technology and engineering.
