Seminar Talk at RNSIT – Preparing Students for the Future of IT

As part of its ongoing effort to bridge academia and industry, BITES supported the organization of an expert session by Mr. Prasad Chitta from TCS at RNSIT. The session focused on the rapid evolution of Generative AI and how students can prepare for the future of work.

 

The session centred around the transformations reshaping the IT industry, including the shift from traditional IT practices to intelligent systems, automation, and next-generation computing paradigms.

 

Key focus areas included the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, approaches to writing code, generating code with the help of AI, and data-driven decision-making across business operations.

 

The speaker highlighted the importance of tools such as Gemini AI and BIFS, and emphasized best practices to be adopted while coding and working with AI-driven systems.

 

 

The initiative aimed to prepare students for a confident transition from campus to corporate life, equipping them with insights into adaptability, self-learning, and continuous skill development in an era of technological disruption.
